Bates, of tke Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report:— The winds have veered to southerly and south-easterly, and ineivasc;! in force. , The weather- has been cold mid unsettled in most parrs of the country; showery, especially on the East Coast, -with isuow on some nigher levels and Frosts in- the South. -Present indications are f r strnvs. isWtiherly and south-easterly win-.U. squally at times in most parts of the country, iwith cold .and changeable weather. Heavy showers probable on the East Coast especially. Frosts are to 'be expe-cted inland at night. T'he barometer is";unsteady, but is due ,to rise in the south. There is •< falling tendency in the nor'.h, "'it little imoveirtsint indicated at present.
