MRS PANRHURST AND THE LAWRENCES NINE MONTHS' IMPRISONMENT. (Received May 23, 8 a.m.) LONDON, Max 23. At the Old Bailey, the trial of Mrs Panldnirst and Mr and ,Mrs Pethiek Lawrence on charges of conspiracy in connection with the suffragette raids, Jias concluded. The accused was found guilty and sentenced, each to nine months' imprisonment in the second division. SCENES IN COURT. "KEEP THE FLAG FLYING." (Received Last Night, 11 o'clock.) LONDON, May 2-3. The jury strongly recommended the suffragettes to mercy. Mr Justice Coleridge, in sentencing the .accused, said that if he had observed any contrition or disavowal of tlhe acts committed, he would have been disposed 'to accord -first division treatment,, •■ Mr Lawrence and Mrs- Pankhnrst' were ordered to pay tlie costs of the prosecution. After sentence was passed, the women in tlie court leapt to their feel, crying, "Shame." The procession passed the dock-shak-ing hands witlh the prisoners, who Avenfc to their cells amid cries of "Keep tlie flag flying!"
