lit is satitrfa,otory to note that the .farmers of this district are awakening to the «ecesi&'»ty for combination.. A meeting has been called for Saturday next to endeavour to revive .the Fanners' Union in the district. It is to 'be (hoped .that /farmers large and .small will Ibe present, and that steps will 'be taken to thoroughly organise lithe district. As was pointed.out in a recent article in (this paper, there was no time in the history of the Dominion- iwhen'. there was greater need for front than at the present. .The fanmers are. enjoying season just now, but *hey canlnot afford to be passive on this account.
