MR ROBINSON AND THE TRUST.
[To The Editor.: 15{!•!■, — It seems strange that- Mr Ifo'ljinson (being a lawyer) when lie was sitting on the Board of Trustees, did' not get the Aot amended so that the aimiw'l imeeting cf the Trust voters need hot ibe held until after the (balance sheet had been audited by tbe iproper authority. During his short sitting on. the Board, judging by the newspaper reports, Mr Robinson does not seem to have been df much assistance in' evolving anything cf benefit to' the Trust. He certainly provided a lot of copy for the newspapers, strenuously opposed the spending of the Trust -ir.ciiey in the erection of the handsome (brick and concrete .braiding in Queen Street, and suggested instead, that the Trust should take up the (business of a Building Society, and lend money for 'buildings up; to 75 per cent-, of the value cf same. He also wanted to start "penny pop" ■concerts in the Town Hall. Thc.se ■suggestions the other Trustees, in it-heir' wisdom, did net agree to. The good thing ha did arrange was, "That 'the iu,3.9 of the Town Hall should be granted fire-e to all candidates when addressing the Trust Lauds voters previous t'o an election-." Unfo.rtuirately the voters, in their orass ignorance, 'dropped ibim.— I am, etc., VOTER. Master ton, May 20 \ 1912. ,
