MONTHLY MEETING. Tho monthly meeting of the Council of the Masterton Chamber of Commerce was held yesterday afternoon. Uhero being present: Messrs C. E. Daniel] (Vice President) in tho chair, P. T. Spain, W. E. Chamberlain, J. 33rowin, G. E. Summerell, ]). M. Graham, V. Donald, G. W. Sellar, G. H. Pony. Apologies for absence were received from the President (Mr A. Henderson) and others. The Treasurer reported a credit balance at date of £5 13s 9d. A number of matters were discussed (and are reported elsewhere). QUARTERLY MEETING. The quarterly meeting of the Cham. ber was subsequently held, Mr E_. H. "Waddington being present in addition to those already mentioned.

A considerable quantity of business was dealt with, reference to which will be found in another part of this paper.
