The. contractors expect to finish this week. Weraiti-Brancepelli Road. Contract Xo. 270, delivering GoO cubic yards of metal for repairs. The major portion of the week is* completed ; carting has been, stopped daring last week ' outing to the moist state of the road; except under 'favourable weather conditions it would be injudicious to finish the work this .season. Tfoirlogie-Ei.ist Coast- Road.— Contract Xo.' 272, 2010 cubic yards metal repairs. There are sti.lL two miles of (the above road .unrepaired, and J fear the reason is too far advanced for the" prosecution cf work with any degree of benefaction on tks'class of road. •Mastertooi-Wraiinata Road. Con tract .No. 271, 1770 cubic yards of metal repairs. Xo delivery of the metal iniv. above -work was. completed on the 18th uJt. •J. have prepared a contract for a liglit. patching of the weaker portions of the Te Ore Ore-Taueru section. I w'hiich include the repairs of a uii'e on the Weraiti Road. Upper Taueru Riding. To Ore Ore-BJdeford Road.— As directed by the Council., with the Councillor for .the Riding I.' inspected the acute' cornbrs complained cf en th r > iMiiin. Road and Mamigapurupum Road, and I recommend the expondit,uro of £'lo or £l2 on each point oi. the Main Road, and a sum of £5 or £6 on the .Maungapurupuru Road. This, I tb'nk, will give a considerable further range of view to approaching tra-vevlers. Three h-.V.-ed. teams are completing the work of repairs from 11 mile peg north.
