THE PONGAROA RAILWAY
DEPUTATION TO MINISTER.
The Pahiabua, Herald of yesterday stated:—
The Mayor (Mr W. W. McCardlc) and Or J. Osbonie-Lilly were ap-'j-ainted by the Borough Council last •jvening as its delegates oirthe deputation, to walit cm the Pr'me Minister .respecting the construction of a- light line .r:\Cf.vay between Pallia tua and Poi'iigaroa. The Mayor stated that he had written the Mayor of Valine rsj.ton (Mr J. '•A. Nash) aisking him if ta would bo a anc-nilber 'of the deputation. He also I'viped Pcngaroa w'cutld be represented, ■ahd there .would be delcgatfs-from the Progressive As delation. No definite dalto had yet been nrra'iag-od for the deputation to iintnrvi!?w the Minister. The Chairman of the Pahiatua County Cbnucil (Mr H. Cornelius).'has been appcitit'cd to represent that body.
