MELBOURNE, May 11.

The Federal 'Statistician! estimates the whoat yield of the recent harvests. 72,069,899 bushels, an average of 9.74 against 9,511,993 (? ninety millions) and an average of 12.50 last year.

(The wheat ■harvest of 1910 was the largest ever reaped in the Commonwealth, and exceeded by*no less tlhaut 16,263,963 bushels that of 1903-4, tha next largest harvest (74,149,634 •bushels). The estimated harvest 1 for 1910-11 was expected to exceed soma 80,000,000 bushels.)
