k . MONTHLY MEETING.The monthly meeting of the Masteriton High S'cthool- Committee was* held •Last .evening, on. the. secretary'.s office, there being present,— Messrs R. Brown (chairman), A. Chapman, iShacldeton, Gburlay,, Pragnell, Falconer and ■&. Hyde. ' The (treasurer's report was read, and- showed a .credit balance o'f £lll Ob 3d.— Adopted. .- A, notification was received from the Wellington Education Board, stating thfit Miss Murray had 'appointed to the position of assistant teacher in the High School. A letter 'was received from the Prinie Minister im reference- to the invitation to be preseuit at the opening of the new assembly hall. (Bo regretted his inability to .attend owing to'-previous engagements, and concluded by wishing the 'fundtion every success.

J The .question of appointing a finance committee was left over till next meeting. (Messrs G'ou.rlay., Hydi:> and Kemp were appointed visiting niemibers for ' it'llr> ensuing month. The question of weekly visits to the iSdhool Maiseum., and the matter of changing it'be meeting room, were deferred .till the next meeting. Accounts amounting to £8 17k 6d were passed for payment.
