Ac- ' cording to the evidence. Green wa;s dismissed for carelessness and negligence, but no dishonesty was suspected. It was afterwards found that there was a discrepancy between the .Club's books and.'the Bank records, » and a charge was- laid. After a retirement of some hours, the jury failed to agree. The Crown Prosecutor there.upon entered a stay of proceedings, ° oiid Green was'discharged.
