The price of bread is rising, and is causing some apprehension. Large orders for grain Ihave been placed in Canada, Argentine, and Australia.
The Government has decided that it cannot suspend the tariff of seven francs per hundred kilogrammes, although it may prolong for two or three month's, the period during which wheat may be imported free on the condition that an equivalent weight is exported from France.
