V SALfc OF WORK. A., isale of work- was held in the Y.M.iO.A'. Gymnasium yesterday, in downeclhion with the) local Baptist Church. Tlie sale was a/great success, practically every stall being cleared of its goods,. Tlie proceeds l are in aid of the genera? church fund, and as a result the church should materially -benefit-. Mir G. RL Sykes, M.P., wag, present, and addressed the gathering. He spoke at lenght on the growth of the Baptist congregation, and wished it every ismccess in the future.
During the evening .songs were, conitributed .by Mr C. Ibbetson; and 'Miss Jackson.
