A WISE PROPOSAL.

The Wairairapa P. and A.- Society is taking a courageous step in providing that all draught stallions exhibited' at its show shall be subjected to *a veterinary inspection. Other Societies, with a greater coucerni for tihe numlber than. for tihe quality of .their exhibits, have refrained from adopting a rule which is obviously in the .interest of tihe settiers. The time is sure to come when veiterinary inspection of stud animal's will be imade compulsory. That 'time will he 'hastened by the action of our Wairarapa friends.
