NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rer. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological Offioa, thia evening issued tho following rejtort:— A small area of low pressure has passed in the South, wiilh strong westerly and southerly winds, and unsettled wea flier. Conditions have been fair to cloudy in the North, withshowers in pints. Tho barometer is aibove normal everywhere, rising slowly in the Soiifoh, and falling im ■the North., Present indications are for increasing south-easterly winds in and nor toward of Cook Strait, and for sbrcng eouftherly winds elsewhere. A storm area appears to be developing to the riortfhwa/rd iof New Zealand, and a change may .be expected over the North all and after about 36 hours. Cool and changeable weather is profcalble generally, and showers i.u po.rtE. TWe barometer wild' frfll. in th.e North, but is steady in the South.
