MOHAMMEDAN INTERESTS AND ITALIAN FRIENDSHIPS.

Speaking in the House of Lords, Viscount Morley declared that it would be a mistake if England, m dealing with the Dardanelles, overlooked Turkey's enormous Mohammedan interests with which England was concerned, or Italy's tradition il friendship towards England, which was especially England's concern in her position and relations as the Mediterranean Power. AUSTRIAN PRESS COMMENTS. (Received Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) VIENNA, May 4. The Neiue Freie Presse suggests that Viscount Morley meant that Italy might at a critical moment be found on the side, of the Triple Entente instead of the .Triple Alliance. The Zeit declares that Viooimt Morley indicated in the event of a European war that Britain reckons on Italy's support, or for benevolent:neutrality.
