£5,000,000 WANTED FOR SETTLEMENT OF GERMAN FARMERS. (Repcived Last Night, 5.5 o'clock.) BERLIN, May 4. A Bill has been introduced in the Prussian Diet which empowers the Government to raise £5,000,000 for the purchase of land in certain districts of East Prussia and SchleswigHolstein for the settlement of German farmers, in order to prevent the land falling into the hands of the Poles and Danes.
