A pleasing ceremony was performed .at the meeting of the directors of tho Masterion Dairy Company on Satur- - aad staff presented Mr C. Kopikins, first jissisrfcaatr at the factory, with a handsome set of carvers, on,the .occasion of his ma*-—. ' .(Mr J. C. referred in eulogistic teirins to themany sterling qualities of Mr Hopkins. The recipient suitably ed. The friends of Mr Frank Henry, of Master ton, will regret to learn of thedeath of his wife, which occurred at the residence, Lincoln Road, on Satuc- • day evening. The deceased lady, who had been ailing "for some time, was. only 32 years of age, and leaves a family of threei young, to. mourn their loss. The funeral Wilf%ike place today at 2:30 p'.m. Lieut.-Colonels Bauchope and Abbott, who were sent Home for further training, will return to New Zealsunt about the 24th June. The former wilt take charge of the Otago military district, and the latter will be cotnmEentL, ing officer in the Auckland district.
