Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following report: — Cool and cluvtigoable -weather has been experienced generally. Showers have fallen in most parts of the country at times, and conditions have been squally in the -northern ■amid southernmost districts, and westerly winds, strong to galo in parts, have prevailed, • and the barometer 'lnw risen ?v >ry where. Present indications are for <a rising barometer everywhere, with strong westerly to ..southerly winds, cold and changeable conditions, with showers in parts.
