Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Paimerstoii saltheld 'to-da-y as follows: —Competition for all classes of stock was good, and sales were effected at. the following quotations: —Forward wethers, lis; tor ward ewes, Us lid; mixed lam lis. 8s 3d ; forward bullocks, £6 10s; 2- j year .steers; £1 os; fab cows, light, I £4 12s to £5; forward cows, £3 10s to £-1 2s 6c. , .store cows, £2 os to £3 J ss; wcaners, 20s to 22s 6d. LONDON WOOL SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London House: —The sales progress firmly. There is a decreased American demand for crossbred wool. As compared with last sales' closing ratci; prices are lower by about par to 5 per cent for medium and line grease crossbred; higher by about 5 per cent, for . merino scoured, greasy crossbred j lambs, greasy merino and scoured | crossbred; higher by about par to 5 , per cent for lambs coarse greasy crossbred and crossbred and sliue. SOL WAY SALE REPORT. Messrs Oalgcty and Co., Ltd., re- j port as follows on their Solway sale on Wednesday : —A fair yarding of sheep, 1 principally medium lambs, were offered | to tho usual attendance of buyers. All j lines entered sold readily, and we had a total clearance at prices slightly in advance of recent market reports. Following is a list of prices:—Cull lambs, 5« to Gs; medium lambs, 6s Id to 7s lid; empty ewes, 8s 9d to 9s Id; j good woolly lambs, 10s 6d; ditto owe j lambs, 10s' 8d to lis 4d; fat ewes, 12s I ••Id; forward wethers, 13s 4d. \ .. ■ .
