A Sydney cable states that Alderman G. T. Clarke has been elected Lord Mayor of Sydney. Mr Clarke \as formerly Mayor of St. Kilda, Dunodin, and Town (ierk of. South Dunedin. Mr Robert Lee, Chairman of the Wellington Education Board, visited Mnstorton yesterday in connection with the opening of the assembly hall at the District Big.li School.
