The. Carterton Borough Council, at its meeting on Tuesday, passed a unanimous vote of thank's to Mr F. Feist, Mayor, and expressed appreciation of his part year's work. Mr Feist has been re-elected to the office of Mayor for a further term unopposed.
The Native Minister,: tho Hon. To Rangibiroa, who is at present in Masterton, hais been invited to attend the function at tho opening of the new assembly hall at the District High School this afternoon. He has notified that ■he will attend if his arrangements will possibly permit.
Mr E. Pragnoll, Secretary r.f the local Firo Brigade, completed 25 years continuous service yesterday, .and is therefore entitled to the United Fire Brigades' Association's gold star.
