HAWERA, Last Night
A dostruetivo fire occurred at 5 o'clock this morning, when, the Central 'Hotel owned by Mr D. B. Barry and .\[i?f,;-:r.s McGruer. Bone and Go.'s drr.pory promises, wore burned to the "round. The Fire Brigade" was by the poor water supply, while a' /c,!'gi% westerly''wind fanned tho flames, ■Nothing was saved from the hotel <ct fl'op. Insurances on M>?.sw'-s.l.k'Grirer, Eone and. Co.'s "trclc amounted to £3OCO in the New Zealand office, and are valued at £8(}!)(). Tho building, which is owned by Hut. Mlorrx'-ev, is mailed for £BOO in the South British, and is valued at £2OOO. -, . The hotel 'l^-ildi.ro: is insured tor £17"0 in flic '•Nfw ZeaU:i'id offi.ee. a.nd £irfK) : in tl''.-> tan.cash.ire. It is valued at over £:W')O. , x , TV licensee had £230 on tho .vtock, which is valued at £IOOO, all in tho Alliance office.
