Bates, of the Meteorological Office, ibis evening issued the following reptorfc:— TJio (barometric pressure is still everywhere considerably ibelow normal, and cold and stormy weather has been experienced liai many parts, but especially on .the Wes.t Coast, and in- the northern and southernmost districts, iffig'h westerly and south-westerly wimds Unive prevailed, and mu;:h snow has fallen on the leglter levels in the South. 'P.roecint indications are for .a rising barometer everywhere, with southerly winds strong .to gale, and cold and changeable weather, with heavy showers, in most- parts, and snow on the higher levels.
