JOHXSONVILLE STOCK SALE, j (By.Telegraph—Special to the Age.) JOHNSON VILLE, Last Night. Messrs Abraham and Williams' Ltd., report as follows on their Johnsonville stock sale: —A large entry of prime cattle and sheep came forward, and sold readily at late rates. Prime heavy bullocks made from £lO to £lO 7s 6d; prime bullocks. £0 7s to £d 15s; lighter, £8 15s to £9 2s 6d; prime cows, £0 10s to £0 17s 6d; good wethers, 16s 4d to 16s 6d; prime heavy ewes, lis lOd to 15s sd; prime ewes', 1-1 s 2d to 14 6d; lighter, 13s 6d, prime lambs, 13s to 13s 9d; good, 12s tol2s6d. MASTERTON STOCK SALE. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows, regarding their Masterton stock sale, held in the Solway yards yesterday :—There was a fair entry of sheep and a largo yarding of cattle. Competition was again keen, and nearly every line changed hands. Forward woolly lambs brought from 7s 6d to 9s 5d ; shorn lambs, 8s Id; small lambs, 6s lOd; forward empty ewes,.Bs 6d to 9s 3d; backward sorts, 4s lid; for,ward empty cows, £4.155; old empty cows, £2; weaners, £2. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report as follows:—We offered a medium entry of stock, the rough weather being responsible for the limited number of buyers. Wo were successful, however, in disposing of tho bulk of •our entry at prices well up to recent market rates. The following is a list of prices:—Sheep: Cull ewes, 6s 3d; empty ewes, 10s 3d to lis; good woolly lambi* to 10s 8d; ewes with ram, lis; mixed aged sheep, 10s 2d ; fat and forward wethers, 14s to 15s. Cattle: Good weaner heifers, £2 2s.
WAIPOUA STOCK SALE
Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipoua (Masterton) sale yards yesterday, when -they offered a good yarding of sheep, but a small yarding of cattle, no doubt owing to the boisterous weather that has been during tho last day or two. Despite this, 'however, we yarded 1300 sheep of all classes, and the whole yarding, with the exception of one pen of ewes -was sold under the haxlmer at full market, rates. Quotations are as follow :-Fat ewes, lis to 12s 8d:; fat and forward ewes, 10s to 10s Sd; forward wethers, 13s; black faced[lambs, 7 S 7d; white faced lambs, 8s 6d to lis lid; cull lambs, 4* lOd to 6s 4cl; store ewes. 7s to 7s 2d; ewes in lamb,9s 6d to lis. Cattle :-2-year station heifers in calf, £3 9s; storo cows, £3 14s; 18-mon-ths heifers, £2 12s.
