AGAINST LEADERS OF HOUSE OF COMMONS. Received This Morning, 12.20 o'clock LONDON, April 24. In the House of Commons, Mr JH. Malcolm called attention to Mr Ji. Pointer's speech at the ~ Croydon Temperance Council, to the effect that ho saw the leaders of .both eides drunk during an important -debate. Mr Pointer stated that he did not. desire to 1 .answer a Charge based upon an inaccurate report. Mr Malcolm, retorted that Mi- Pointer told him he wa,s not going to ru,n away fsrom his (statement. Mr Pointer did not answer.

The Speaker said that if the report was anything like correct, it was grossly offensive, and also ludicrous. The Bouse would form ate own judgment.
