WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorologicftl,Office, this evening issued the following report:— An ox-tropical cyclonic disturbance ilia's bimighit'heavy" rain and easterly gales over the northern districts. The disturbance ie apparently travelling dtowai the West Coast of the-' North.: Island, with. the. lowest pressure of; about 29 inches near Cape Egmont,; and .wind are spreading everywhere. ■ I Present indications are for misty and stormy weather generally, withheavy rain and rivers Hooded in many parte of the country. High northerly "Winds veering by west to south soon (northward of East Gape and .Kawhia, and easterly to southerly strong to gale elsewhere. The storm warning is extended to-day to the East Coast of the South Island. The barometer ■'willi probably rise everywhere after 10 to 16 hours.
