Tallow. —Since our last acblo tallow ia general is 6d to 9d per cwfc higher.
WOOL SALES,
Messrs Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., Wellington, received the following cable advice from their London Office, dated 17th inst: — Wool sales. —Continue with an active and brisk competition, buying is general from all quarters. As compared with closing rates of last series, good quality Merino par to 5 per cent, higher. Fine, coarse crossbred quality —change, if any, is in sellers' favour. For crossbred wools suitable for America prices are scarcely maintained. Messrs Abraham and Williams, ) Ltd., have received the unde'rmention- j ed cablegram from their London office I under date 22nd inst.:— London sales closed with active ocm-ictition from large attendance of buyers. American houses operated i freely. Market very firm. Fine and coarse crossbred from par to 5 per cent, advance.
