Ail' exceptionally interesting etory of "ine Waj'-back icountry" mis illustrated in (the dramatic study "In the Hot Lands." Other dramas were:—"The Scandalmongers," "The Voiceless Message," and "Gaptain Barnacle, Diplomat" A natural history study of ''Fresh-water Fish" was an interesting and instructive film of exceptional merit. "Tho Wreck of the Delhi" ,wa6 also shown •and proved a picture full of inte-reet. A Gauraou-t Graphic, provided .pictorial pews itf-ms interc-sting to all, A.u excellent series of comic films, was inchidcd in the .programme, and even the unwilling were absolutely com lulled to laug'h -at the <best of the bunch —'"'Has Brother's Double." By special request, 'Mrs Julia Ward Howe's immortflal wok which set America ablaze "Battle Hymn, Republic," will be produced.

"EYERYWOMAN."

The box plans will be opened this morning at 'the Dresden at 8 o'clock for the first and only production in. Masterton of the gorgeously mounted modern morality play, "Evcrywoman," which is to be staged here on Thursday night nest. In order to obviate any crushing, a queue will be formed irom an early hour. The success enjoyed by Walter Browne's drama in Auckland is without parallel in local theatrical history, even the records established by Mr H. ft: Irving having been eclipsed. A good deal of the. success of the piece, it is said, is due to the brilliant manner in which it is presented by Mr J. C. Williamson's company. The heart of tie spectator goes out to ''Everywornan:'; on realising how childlike and innocent she is in dealing with the forces around her. Thus the play take* particular hold on fathers and mothers. With their retrospective view c.f things they are able to appreciate the wierdly delivered wisdom of Nobody, the dantesque spirit who seems to direct the allegory. To young ladies who arc in the situation of the heroine, "Everywoman" will either afford delight as other plays do, or the 4 should be prescribed for them as an education, an agreeable homily. The company will arrive m Masterton on Thursday morning.
