I3ni!!S?<_ BHSHB The annual meeting of delegates to the- Walrarapa Ru'yby Union was hold at Carterton on Saturday evening, tho following Clubs being represented : Carterton, Masterton, Gladstone, Creytown, Dalclield, Liberal (Featlierston), and Red Star. 'Mr B. Gha'-p----minii was voted to ifcho chair. The -minutes of the last annual meeting were read and confirmed-, .. , Apologies for absence were received from Mcasivi D. K. Logan (President) anil A. B. Charters. The annual report 'and balance sheet were adoptc-d as read. The latter snowed, amongst other items, .that the Union commenced last season with a debit balance of £8 10s and finished with a debit of £lB 12s. Tihe total receipts for the is-eason amounted to £2.10 ss. 'ld, the principal source of revenue feeing: Senior championship matches, £lls 17s; junior matches, £4G 7s; representative .matches, £32 2s 6d; two senior North v. I Tihe Union decided to rent a letterbox at Carterton post oflbe for receipt of correspondence. [ ■ it was resolved that the donor of the Pearson Cup be written to, ask-' ing his .approval to an alteration of the rules 'governing competition for same, so as to make if, 'imperative that the holders- shall play the first challenge iiEiaitc'li for same aiwt later than j a fortnight after the junior matches conclude, and 'if still holders, the second match a week later....
