INVESTIGATION' DEMANDED. The Senate has adopted a resolution,, demanding a comprehensive investigation imto the disaster. Some of tho survivors will be immediately summoned to Washington to give evidence regarding the inability of the officers to save the lives of all aboard tho vessel. INSUFFICIENT APPARATUS. A Bill introduced in the Senate, prohibiting liners .from... entering or clearing United States ports without sufficient apparatus to accommodate all passengers, has been,referred to' the Merchant Marine Committee.
