IN PANAMA. HUNDREDS OF~INDIANS PERISH (Received April 12, 11 a.m.), April 11. Vessels arriving at Mobile, Alabama, from Panama, report a violent eruption on the Chirqui peak, near Boca del Toro. Hundreds of Indians have perished. A whole village has been wiped out. The volcano was never before known to be active. Clouds of dust have been wafted out to sea, and rocks thrown a hundred feet airwards.
