WEDDING

FERGUSON—'i-JORNE. On Wednesday afternoon a very pretty and popular wedding was celebrated at St. Augustine's. Church, Petono. in the presence of a large' number of friends, when Mi i s <7<.\=sie , M'ay Horn, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. V. Home, of Potone, was married to MY Wildiiam Nertwn Ferguson, polico constable at M;<?.'terion, | and third son cf Mr and Mrs G. M. Ferguson, of Shag Point, IVw.ercton South. The Rev. IJ. Sltepheix-on was' the officiating clergyman. The bride, who was given away by her father, nva:s charmingly attired in a creme silk dress' prettily trimmed with Maltese lace, and a long train. She also wore- a bridal veil and wreath of orange blossoms, and carried a shower 'bouquet of cream ro ..s, neparagus and maidenhair fern, ihe bridesmaid,:.; were Misses Jessie and Jane Ferguson, sisters of ' the. bridegroom, ■ and little M-6SCS D;u:y and Florence Home, nieces of the bride. Mioses Jessie and Jane Ferguson were attired in pretty dresses of creme Sicilian, handsomely braided, the former's | dress being piped with blue. Both wore forge black hat® with white est- j rich .plumes, ami earned shower bouquets of cream roses and. maidenhair fern, tied with, pale "blue- chiffon' .streamers. The two little maids wore, jpretty . white embroidered muslin dresses, with blue sashes, and carried silver crooKs-entwined with flowers. Mr F. McLaughlin attended as' best .man. After the ceremony, a reception was held at St Augustine's Hall, and the (usual .toasts were honoured. Later in the day Mr and Mrs Ferguson left for I>unedin. The presents received were numerous and handsome. The bridegroom's gifit to the bride was a handsome set of furs. To the two elder bridesmaidshe gave gold brooches set with, pearls? and to the two little maids gold forooches set with rubies. Mrs Horno received her,guests in a black silk dress and black velvet hat, with black i feathers.
