THE VICTORIOUS TRIUMPH. WONDERFUL &2SJORD OF SUCCESSES ON TRIUMPH MOTOR CYCLES. At the H.B. Motor Cycle Club'# sports held on the Hastings _ Racecourse 011 Boxing Day, tihe Triumphs again practically wept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines representing 5 different make® tihe Triainphfi secured ten firstß, eeven seo» onds, and 4 thirds out of a possible eleven events. This performance is all the more remarkame when' it is considered tihat the Triumphs had to concede targe handicaps to machines of equal power and fiix of the ten first machines were ridden by amateur riders. On Saturday, December 80th, Mr J. L. Braithwaite left for "Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to make on attempt on the existing figures of the Wellington to Napier record—viz., Bhrs 35min., established by Mr H. L. Schaeffer on New Year'® Day, 1909, also on ft Triumph. In. spite ol several atitempts on other maices of machines', this record has stood to the credit of the Triumph for three years. Mr Bmthwiaite left the Wellington Post Office at 4.20 a.m. on New Year's Day, and arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., his time being Gtors. 88min.., To wearing the previous record by nearly twe hours. The Triumph ran perfectly from start to finish, the only two stops being to take in petrol and oil- It is only perfect machines made from the finest material procurable that can average 33J miles an hour over 230 miles of New Zealand roads. _ Tihos-o who wore at the Napior Post Office at the finish couTd not hefp but remark on the perfect condition of the machine at the finish. The Triumph is not only made far speed. It has. proved itself to be the machine for hard work and long wear, and is perfectly adapted to New Zealand roads.
