IN ST. MATTHEW'S CHURCH. There was a very 'large attendance in St. Matthew's. Church, Mastesrton. ia®t evening, when Mr H. S. Claughifcon, assisted fey Miss \era Edwards, gave the first of a series of monthly organ recitals. Tlie efforts of Mi" iClaugh-ton were very effective, several (of his renderings being of a very high 'order. ;Ma&s... Edwards was in/ excellent voice, and sang the siolos "I Know •that My Redeemer" (Handel) and* "Angels Ever Bright and Fair" i Handel), with great expression. The recitals, which are to be held monthly, (promise to be a source of great pleaAmre during the next few months, and /will be looked fonvard to with ant'cnipat'uon by lovers of good music.
