WANGANUII, Last Night, The meeting of the Borough Council to-night ended dramatically. At rthe previous meeting, when two avow \ed' opponents of a motion were unavoidably absent ,the Council decided, I(by a majority of one, that the Boiough Engineer's explanation of the j charge, made against him was not satisfactory. Notice was given by a i Councillor that he would move at thi (next meeting that the resolution be. rescinded: The matter came up this evening, when the Major refused t< viocept the Five councillors Ithereoipoiv the table a® a protest, and there not being a quorum, the vMayor had to adjourn the meeting. /
