A LABOUR SOCIAL.
Labour hau a "social" at Wellington on Wednesday evening. This was attended by quite a bevy of Ministers and ex-Ministers of the Grown, and the tiling developed into a sort of political circus,''-where the most astounding acrobatic feats were performed. The whole of the talking appears to have been done by quondam Liberals, and make-shifts, to the exclusion of the genuine Labourites. Mr Hindmansh, M.P., when he saw how things were going, left- the room in apparent diisgust. And now the labourites are holding an inquest. They want to know who was responsible for the ttoast-list. The played-out Liberals arc., making a desperate bid to capture Labour.- But they are doing the thing in quite too transparent a fashion. Labour has been once bitten —it is nbw twice shy. V
