DEPUTATION TO MINISTER FOR
LABOUR.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) .WELLINGTON, Last Night. Messrs King, Laracy, McLeod, McLennan, and Hall waited on the Hon. G. JLauirenson, Minister for La-hour, as a deputation from the Shearers' Union. They urged that as there is one lawaitl applicable to the ivhole Dominion, one central registered office of the "Union ishould be sufficient, instead of .-having, to maintain offices in each industriM district, as thelaw now compels the Union to do. It was laiso desired .tliat the Act should be made" more effective as ,regardls accommodation (for shearers. The Minister promised, careful consideration, and to lay the matter before the Oabinet.
