MISS LANCASHIRE, LTD.
Miss Marie Raines, and the talented compa-nv which -assisted her in the production of the mirth-provok-ing •■' "Miss* Lancashire, 'Limited," ,were deserving of a unuoh better, house than they. received in Masterton last night. The extravaganza is one of the most diversifying that has over been produced in the Town • Hall. From the rise to the fall of the curtain, the audience was kept in a .simmer of laughter'. Miss Baines is <a vivacious and accomplished actress-,- and her interpretation of the title role was exceedingly clever. Her import-cm at ion of a. Lancashire girl- travelling by train 'id Hartlepool was worth going a long ■wlay to see and hear. The. minor characters in the comedy were, spiritedly taken, and the (piece ran like clockwork throughout. We can. cordially recommend "Miss-. Lancashire, Ltd.," as a cure for the dumps.
