AUCKLAND, Last Xipjht.

Hen ry Lett and .Robert Richardfon were charged' at tilie Police Court today with having assaulted •Constable Mills in Grey Street at 1 o'clock this morning. It is stated that the Constable was kicked over the heart, and munch knocked about. He is at present in the Hospital, and too ill to appear. The full extent of Jiis injuries have not yet been ascertained. The.accused were remanded till April 17th. . ' '
