SMOKE CONCERT

AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB.

A large number of competitors' and memlbers of the Wairarapa Amateur Qub assembled in the Arcadia Tea Booms last' evening, when the prizes won. during the day were presented to the winners by Mr".G." ,R. Sykes, M.J 3 . A varied selection of, musical" 'items were "' rendered .throughout the evening, and were much appreciated by" all present. Obmplimentally speeches were delivered, and the excellent state of the Club was referred to by those who have watched its progress since its inception. Congratulatory remarks were passed on the efficient manner in which the,,&eoretarics (Messrs W. S.. L. Ec'ckfcu aaid J. Coradine) and. the various officials carried out.the duties of their office. Several visiting competitors also spoke of the good time ■they..had had at the;hand&.,of the 'k> cal Oltiß.
