ODDFELLOWS' CONFERENCE
(By Telegraph—Tress Association.) OHBISTOHUEGH Last Nigirc. The deputies 'attending the .biennial Oddfellows' conference were accorded a civic vvelcoine yesterday by C? Clooper (flCtiiig-Mayor). In afclinovvledging the Welcome, Mr 0. E. Bellringer said that the Unity was trying to do a work which would be in the best interests of the country. The work of Friendly Societies _was now meeting with some recognition, fo r there was now in operation- a strong movement in the direction of better provision for the aged and distressed. The conference opens on Monday. -The Board of Directors met this morning •and prepared certain reports and transacted other preliminary business.
