(By Telegraph — Press Association 1 .) TOIMtU, Last Night, The anin.ual conference of the Canterbury branch of the Ntavy League was held to-day, Professor Blunt presiding. The ohief discussion centred ii'oiuid a proposal by the Tinuru branch that H.M'.S. Dart, now 'lying in Sydney Harbour, and , for isale, be purchased a.s a training ship for New Zealand boys. The scheme was considered too' big ifor the Lieagaie to undertake. A motion was passed tliait a 'sub-committee igatilier information on the subject of extending the present system of seta training for IVew Zeahind Loys, with a view to urging the Government to enlarge accomimodation proVideu by the training ship- Amokura, and >M!r Craigie, M.iP., to bo asked to bring the matter before the Hou&e.
