CARTERTON. At a meeting of the 'lvcc'linh:!'.' liodge on Monday evening, Bro. i'\ Fathers, district secretary, Wellingtc'ji, on behalf of t<ho Tent-, presented Bro. F. E. Tyler, P.0.R., with. a lhandfeoine past officers' collar and apron., as a tokwi. of appreciation of 'his service to the Tent. The Carterton Fire Brigade lias decided to entertain the markers at the recent bUzatir at a social gathering in the Fire Brigade Hall on Thursday evening next. 'Mr Kew Pock, a cousin of M.r W. Quia Kee, .fruiterer, of tihis town, L'as. returned to Carterton after a vilsit to China. Mr H. Hawkc, o'f the local Post Office staff, has revived notice of his transfer 'Wol'jiaigcon. Mir E. A'. FJllis, _ who is leaving about the middle -nf the montlh on ~a, trip to England, was on Tuesday evening presented with a silver mounted pct'ke.t \vallet. from the Carterton Hockey dub.
