Motor Cycle Club's sports (held on the Bastings Racecourse on Boxing Day, the Triumphs again practically wept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines, reoresenting 5 different makes the Triumphs secured ten firstß, seven seceleven events. t Thiß performance is all the more remarkable when it is considered that the Triumphs had to concede large handicaps to machines of equal power and six of the ten firs* maahobb were ridden by amateur riders. On Saturday, December 30th, Mr J L. Braitnwaite left for Wellington on his Triumph motor cycle to make an attempt om the existing figures of the Wellington .to Napier record*— 1909, a_- ..... . _.. several attempts on other machines, this record has> stood to the credit of the Triumph for three Hngton Post Office at 4.20 a.m. on New Year's Day, and arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., Ms time being 6hrs. 38min., lowertog the previous Tecord by nearly two tours. The Triumph ran perfectly from Btart to finish, the only two stops being to take in petrol and oil. It is only perfect machines made from the finest material .procurable that can average 33* miles an hour over 230 miles, of New Zeaffland roads. # Those who were at the Napier Post Office at the finish courd not help but remark on the perfect con- | ditaon of the machine at the finish; The Triumph is mot only made for speed, jlv xiai» '»">'» ~~ —. -—* machine for hard work and long wear, and Sis perfectly adapted, tq New Zealand roads.
