Bates, of tie Meteorological Office, :this evening issued the following report :-—''...',-. ; Pain- weather lias 'prevailed, ' but Venditions have- been' unsettled at -times' in- the, northern-most districts, with strong easterly winds. The barometer has continued high but im<steady. Moderate, easterly and northerly winde have prevailed. Present indications ai'e .for "moderate to strcwig easterly and southerly winds; generally. The. barometer has a> slightly fallragt tendency; hazy, mild and fair to -cloudy weather is probable generally. Low pressure is due to pass in the, South about next Saturday evening, with unsettled weather-south of New Plymouth and Napier. ■ " : - '■■■
