Motor Cycle Club'« sports held on the Hastings Bao&course on Boxing Day, the Triumphs again practically wept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines representing 5 different makes the Triumphs secured ten firsts, seven seoonda, and 4 thirds oat of a possible eleven events. This performance is all the mare remarkable when it is considered tihat the Triumphs had to concede i tarae handicaps to machines of equal mm were ridden by amateur riders. J. L. Braithwaite left for Wellington on,'his. Triumph motor cycle to make an'attempt on the existing figures of the Wellington to Napier recordviz., Bhrs 35min., established by Mr H L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day, 1909, also on ft Triuimph. In. spite of machines, this record Ikm stood to the credit of the Triumph for Agree vears. Mr Brathwaite left the Wellington Post Office at 4.20 a.m. on time being 6brs. 38min.,,Jfloweriing the start to finish, the only tw.o stops being to take in petrol and oil.
