TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (ByTthgraph—treuMiociation.) WELLINGTON, Last NightTho Rev. D. 0. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this evening issued the following reptort:— The barometer is now fairly high everywhere, and fair to cloudy'weather prevails, with moderate southerly winds. Present, indications are for a freshening easterly wind, northward of East Oape and KaWhia, and southerly .breezes elsewhere, .though strong westerlies may be expected at times in Foveaux Strait. Faiir weather is ,pro■ibdble generally, but changeable conditions in the northern and' southernmost parts. The barometer will probably continue above normal in * the South, but a fall is due to take place in the North, in about 21 hours, and the early part of next week is likely to be very unsettled,
