FEILDiING, Last Night

The Feilding branch of the Farmers' Union has decided to arrange for individual farmer's-..t0 club together, to bring out a. batch of boys from Englaiid'for farm work. Each farmer requiring/a boy will pay the-passage money and! ; take his boy. Mr Sedgwick will probably be asked to choose the boys. - 1 A social was held in the Y.M.C.A. | dymiiasiiuan last evening, in view of the approaching opening of the Gymi- i nasium, which takes -place shortly af- - iter Easter. A large number of pupils and intending pupils, wiitih their friends, were present, also members of the Ladies' Auxiliary. The gathering was presided over by Mr 0. Pragnell, -\vl*> extended a hearty ■welcome to all 'present. A short address oh Y.M.CJL matters was "delivered by Mr Peacock, chairman of the Anstralasian Board of Control. During .the evening a refined programme oi music was rendered as follows: Song, Mr 0. Ihbetson; recitation, Mrs Allswortih; duet, Mrs and Miss Anderson; duet-, Messrs Jago and Young. Several <\imes were also played, and were very interesting. Refreshments were provided by the Ladies' Auxiliary, the pleasant function was brought' to a close by the Ringing of the Dcxjologj'. <?•
