Motor Cycle Club's sports held on the Bastings Racecourse on Boxing Day, theTnumpha again practically wept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines representing 5 difrerenit makes the Triumphs secured ten firsts, seven seconds, and 4 thirds! out of a possible eleven events. This performance is all the more remarkable when it is considered tihat the Triumphs had to concede wes were ridden by amateur riders. On Satin-day. December 30th, Mr J L Braithwaite left for Wellington on Lib Triumph motor cycle to make an attempfoni the existing figures of the Wellington, to Napier record— H L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day. 1909, also on a Triumph. In Bpite of machines, this record has fltood to the credit of the Triumph for three vears Mr Brathwaito left the Weirevioua record by nearly *we hours. ine iniuiup ion start to finish, the only two stops being to take in petrol and oil. it is only perfect machines nmde from the finest material procurable that can average 33* miles an hour over 830 miles of New Zealand roads. < Those who were at the Napier Post Office at the finish courd not help hut remark on the perfect condition of the machine at the finish. The Triumph is not only made for speed. It has proved itself to be the wear, and lis perfectly adapted, to New Zealand roads.
