HOCKEY
ST. MATTHEW'S CLUB. The annua* meeting of the St. Matthew's Club was held in St Matthew's schoolroom last evening;., Mr F. Tr us-e-oft- occupying the chair. Then 1 .was a good attendance of members and intending memibevs. The minutes and balance sheet of the previous season were read and adopted. The balance sheet showed a credit of £1 3s 7d, which was deemed very sai'i The following new members were proposed and duly elected:— P. Franer, W. Hornhlow, -«. Miller, J. Veety, H. Cooper, P. Wimsett, G. Dean, K. McGregor. G. l'eters, L. Cummings, E. Harper, J. Gray, F. Aekernian, F. Cuim.s, L. Mathieson. The officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows: Secretary, 0. Cole; Senior Captain, N. Boyd; Vice-captain, A. Dixon ; Management Committee, captain, vice-captain .and R. Hatch; -Junior captain, L. Johnston; Junior vice-captain, E. Miller; Delegates, R. Hatch and L. Johnston. The fee was fixed at 5s for seniors, and 2s 6 dfor juniors. The meeting decided to place on re-cord its appreciation of the good work done for the Club by Mr L. Boyd, who has left- Masterton.
